Paignton and South Devon
If
it`s Sand and Sea you`re after then Paignton is definitely the
right place for you because you`ll find the English Riviera`s
widest and sandiest beaches here. All have the coveted blue
flags!
Paignton Sands. Is one of the best loved beaches in Britain, and deservedly so! It is the main centre of entertainment. Regular boat trips to neighbouring Torquay and Brixaham. Take a walk along the pier, hire pedaloes, try mini golf at the Pirates Golf course. This is an ideal beach for swimming because it shelves gently into the sea.
Goodrington Sands.
At the heart of
the Quaywest Waterpark resort , this large sandy beach is well
served with excellent facilities and water sports. The next
stretch of beach minutes from Paignton.
Broadsands. A large beautiful sweep of
sandy beach, conveniently located for walks along the costal
path. It has a cafe, beach shop, equipment for hire and
parking.
Elberry Cove.
Only 10 minutes walk from Broadsands, this sheltered, pebbly cove
has deep water making it popular with water-skiers.

Paignton Zoo.
Famous zoo as seen on BBC1`
s `The Zookeepers`. Set in 80 acres
of natural habitat you can discover hundreds of animals many of

Quay West Beach Resort.
Just behind Goodrington`s long sandy beach, you will find the
exciting and entertaining world of Quaywest. At its heart is a
fantastic open air water park, Grand Prix Go-Karts and more fun

Steam Railway.
The Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway takes you on a
spectacular journey alongside TorBay, then through the wooded
slopes to the river dart. From there you can take a ferry across

There are four theatre and an Open air one in the summer.
There is a full programme through out the year at - The Princess - The Palace- The Babbacombe and The Little Theatre.

FURTHER AFIELD
Totnes and Dartington Hall are less than 30 minutes away.
Totnes is an Elizabethan river town with an ancient castle. Dartington Hall world famous for its arts and music, and `Ways With Words` event is held annualy.
Dartmoor National Park and the beautiful Widdecombe in the Moor, where the famous Widdecombe Fair is held annualy.
Exter Airport is reached by car
